I went to a Sunday service back a few months ago (which means I have not been to a church for a long long time!! *Gasp*)
Well, nowadays Sunday Services are no longer seriously conducted as we humans are easily bored. In order to keep up with the world, sermons are conducted quite differently compared with the old times. Pastors now include some real life jokes to keep us on the same page down there (when they see some "hippo")).
Here's one that I heard back a few months back.
One day, the pastor was on the road rushing to a meeting. While he waits for his turn at a traffic light, he saw a small sized car drove up the curve. But the car didn't make it through. So one side of the car tires was stucked in the curve. Being a pastor, one should not just advice the others to do the right things, but he/she has to do the same first.
Here comes the dilemma. But the pastor was in a rush to go for the meeting. Yet, if he doesn't help this person who is stuck in the traffic up, any church member sees this might think that this pastor is just a fake. Only know how to talk, but actually did nothing as he/she advice people to do. He is worrying that church members will bash him at the church. He then comment that "It's hard to be a pastor nowadays"...
So the pastor ended up helping the car that's stuck. After helping the car getting off the curve, the person came out and said: " Pastor X, you are a true pastor who really do help people those in need."
Pastor then comment: "Oh my, I am so glad that I have made the right decision to help that person up. This proves again, pastor is hard to be nowadays..." I was laughing so hard down there.
